Lakshadweep, one of India's smallest union territories, is a cluster of islands that attracts many shore lovers from around the world. Lakshadweep is commonly accessed from Kochi (Kerala), and all traveler's (including Indians) must obtain permission to visit the island. Indians are permitted to visit all islands after obtaining a permit; however, foreigners are only permitted to visit Agatti, Bangaram, and Kadmat Islands after obtaining a permit. Permits can be obtained directly from Kochi.

Because it is rich in marine life, fishing is the primary source of revenue here; it's also a terrific place to enjoy some of the locally cooked catch. This island is well-known for its snorkelling and deep-sea diving opportunities.
Kavaratti Island - The pristine beaches and stunning sunsets make this island one of the top spots to visit in Lakshadweep. This tranquil lagoon boasts a surprising quantity of flora and plants. Nature enthusiasts will love Kavaratti. Every year, the city attracts hundreds of foreign tourists who simply sit back and enjoy the view.
Agatti Island - This island is one of the most accessible in the region, thanks to its airport, which receives weekly flights from Kochi. The Lagoon beach is a 20-minute drive from the airport. When visiting the Agatti islands, make sure to eat the native cuisine as well as the dried or smoked tuna fish. Even if you are a vegetarian, you will find plenty of food options on this island. There are numerous homestays and motels to select from. It is also home to some of the most popular Lakshadweep tourist attractions.
Bangaram Island - This island is frequently described as a paradise. The island is certainly one of the best places to visit in Lakshadweep, featuring activities for both nature lovers and adventure seekers. People usually stay here for 4-5 days to soak in the peace and quiet before returning to their regular lives. The clear blue waters provide an unparalleled sense of liberation. This island is popular with visitors since it is the only one where the sale and drinking of alcohol is permitted. However, if you visit during the off-season, your chances of finding this limited booze are slim.
