Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are an Indian union territory. It floats in glorious isolation in the Bay of Bengal, east of the Indian mainland. Port Blair is the territory's capital. The region contains 836 islands and rock outcrops, just 38 permanently inhabited. Andaman and Nicobar Islands, with palm-fringed beaches with pristine lengths of white sands, an unbroken presence of tranquilly, and crystal-clear turquoise waters all around Andaman is a perfect example of what you call a "Tropical Paradise."

One of the many reasons to visit the lovely Andaman and Nicobar Islands is the sparsely populated beaches that give way to an ocean teeming with diverse marine life and coral gardens. Gandhi Park, Sippighat Farm, and the century-old Cellular Jail (now a pilgrimage site) offer views into the past and present of these tranquil islands with a strange and eclectic history. Now that we've persuaded you that there is no other holiday spot quite like Andaman and Nicobar, it's time to persuade your companion(s) and begin organizing a trip to this tropical jewel right now!

Places to Visit:

Port Blair - Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is the main entry point for travellers exploring the archipelago. It offers a mix of history, culture, and natural beauty, including attractions like Cellular Jail, Corbyn's Cove Beach, and Ross Island. Visitors typically spend 1-2 nights at the beginning and end of their journey to acclimate to the tropical paradise. Port Blair also features museums, and scenic spots like Wandoor Beach and Chidiya Tapu, and is close to the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, aiming to protect marine life, corals, and nesting sea turtles.

Neil Island - Neil Island is located in the Bay of Bengal and is part of the South Andaman Administrative District. It is separated from Ross Island and Havelock Island by a section of the vast ocean. Visitors to Havelock frequently take a day excursion to Neil Island. The island's three sandy beaches, Bharatpur Beach, Sitapur Beach, and Lakshmanpur Beach, are perhaps its most charming characteristic.

Havelock Island - Havelock Island is the Holy Grail of scuba diving and snorkelling among the top Andaman tourist destinations! It is also one of the most popular activities in Andaman with tourists. If you enjoy scuba diving, you should visit the Barefoot Scuba Resort. Whether you're a beginner, an experienced diver, looking for some diving, or want to get PADI certified, Barefoot provides plenty of possibilities.

Baratang Island - Baratang Island, also known as Ranchiwalas Island, is a beautiful little island in the North and Middle Andaman Administrative District. It is located about 100 km from Port Blair by road. The island is renowned for its mangroves, mud volcanoes (the only ones in India), and limestone caves. However, visitors may need to obtain permission from the Forest Department at Baratang to explore these caves.
